It’s nice but I’d take a slightly later 300TDi over a 200TDi.

Much cheaper would be to import.

As of about two years ago, the earlier 200 TDIs (like this one) finally became an import option instead of the 3.5V8, so this one is semi-reliable while not being EPA-bait. In another two years the 300s will be available and not “ha ha we’re taking your car bro”.

Given that this one was imported (as some trouble) like two years ago, I wonder why he held onto it for such a short period? I get he has a laundry list of fixes - maybe the idea was to get one and he decided he didn’t want one after all, or maybe he was always planning to flip it.

Anyways, if the chassis is solid, it’s not insanely priced for one over here, and as more of these come over the prices should continue to creep downward.
