I swear, it looked like there were 8 Nashville players on the ice in every game. Hawks could never get going, and Rinne was a playing out of his head. No, no. Lose to the Blues, but in 6 games.
I’m genuinely happy that the BlechHacks are out, especially in a sweep. 1: because they and their fans are insufferable; 2: so that a team that hasn’t won the Cup yet gets a chance; and 3: because the NBCSN a-holes won’t be able to show their obvious and misguided bias while slobbering and fawning so sycophantically. So yes, I’m happy for the preds, I truly am, and the utmost of kudos to them for the accomplishment. However, the Blues just need this. The preds can have it next year, or maybe when they turn 50.

It’s funny, I’ve had friends insist that NBCSN had been slobbering over the Preds this week (they weren’t).
But yeah, the Blues have had tough luck in the playoffs — they’re due.
It’s funny how things flip. I’ve been a Hawks fan for over 30 years, and ownership put the fan base through hell for most of that time. Everything turns eventually— and it will for the Blues, too.

Oh I am a vancouver fan. I know how you feel.
It took us 3 seasons, and 19 playoff games, to defeat the hawks in a playoff series.
In that final series after two years of being eliminated by the hawks, the canucks went up 3 games to 0. Chicago came back, and tied the series 3 to 3.
Facing a 3rd loss to the hawks was excruciating, but Vancouver dug deep and held onto a 1-0 lead for most of game 7.
But chicago scored the 1-1 goal with just a few minutes left.
It went to OT. Oh lordy lord, we thought we were drop another big game, but then this happened. And it was the greatest hockey moment I ever witnessed.

We have a ritual here in St. Louis for the games that are only watchable through NBCSN: Pause the game for about 10-15 seconds, sometimes up to 20, and turn on the radio (or internet streaming) play-by-play, then resume the NBCSN broadcast. The radio has a longer delay than TV for some reason, so it takes a little adjustment to get them in sync. Once it’s in sync, mute the TV. It’s a bit silly, but the NBCSN teams can be just that annoying. I used to be able to watch the NBCSN broadcast (and, depending on the teams playing and the talent used, it may not be so bad), but after the last few years when the announcers/play-by-play callers may as well have been wearing Blackhawk fan gear when the Blues were playing them, it became largely unbearable.
We’re also used to the very good team on Fox Sports Midwest - which includes former blackhawk goalie Darren Pang; Hall of Fame member Bernie Federko; and Hall of Fame member John Kelly, son of legendary P-B-P announcer Dan Kelly - who are more than willing to give frank and accurate criticism and praise as needed for both teams’ play

Thanks for the support, too. It’d be a real treat for the fans to get the Cup, coupled with the enjoyable and exciting Winter Classic early this year and the roller coaster we went through with the head coaching changeup. I’d love for the Blues to win, but if not us, at least some team that hasn’t won it yet. I was even hoping CBJ would have been able to overcome Pittsburgh, but no such luck

Yes, I’ll keep watching the playoffs (stress free, now!) and will be rooting for the teams that haven’t won in a long time. I have nothing against the Blues, but will root for Nashville just figuring that maybe it’s less embarrassing if they make a deep run, I guess? (Not really, I know )
