That was a pretty sad series. But all credit to Nashville. They outplayed the Hawks from the opening drop of Game 1. Next year!!

Yep- all credit to them. They played exactly how they needed to play to win, and Rinne was great.

As always, it will be interesting to see who is on the team next year. As for this year, I think the handwriting was on the wall with that end of season losing streak. The Hawks have always been slow starters, but this year they just never got started because of the unrelenting pressure from Nashville (I just can’t bring myself to say “Preds”).

That series was fucking pathetic. I knew we had no business winning the West this year (hooray for seriously overachieving) and I certainly didn’t think we were going to stroll into the finals -or even get there - but holy hell that was horrendous. As long as whoever wins STL/Minn loses in the next round, I’m still somewhat happy.
Curious to see who stays and who goes this summer. Hate to see Darling go, wish Crawford would go.
But! But! He’s won you/us two Stanley Cups!
So? He is incredibly hit or miss and I’m tired of it.

Yeah, this went up when the Preds went up 3-0, obviously, but it’s pathetic regardless.
I think they did overachieve in the regular season. Heck, they only won the division because the Wild collapsed before they did.
I love playoff hockey too much to stop watching, so I’ll root for Nashville and the other underdogs as long as they last.
I hate to see Darling go, but I’m not so down on Crawford. Every goaltender is up and down, and he’s not the reason they lost. Quick, Rask, Holtby, Price— all those guys have their moments. Nature of the beast.

Yeah, I figured it did. I’ll definitely keep pulling for Nashville, and anyone against the Penguins and Capitals - except for STL/Minn. I wish they both could lose at once.
Honestly, you’re 100% right about Crawford and goalies in general. I just feel like it’s time for a change, but I know he’s not going anywhere.

It’s the blue line that worries me. They’ve done a phenomenal job replenishing up front, but the blue line has slipped. That doesn’t help either goalie.
