Question/topic for the show: Is “the best car of it’s class” important?
A lot of enthusiasts will dog on another’s car choice because “in that segment, car A is better than your car B”
So what right? If that person wanted the C-class/IS350 over the 328i/A4, who cares right?
I think automotive sites/ magazines need to stop having these head to head comparisons to see “which of the same flippin type of car is BEST” I don’t see the point of this besides dull conversations by Cars and Coffee zombies.
Sorry if my anti-enthusiast is showing, I really need to get a cream to cover that up lol :]

Ohh oh, how about “The State of City Cars in America, 2017"?
It’s kinda interesting to see that out of the few city cars that are in America, they’re either completely foreign (smart, iQ, 500, etc) or are cars that had to be developed with a global partner.
Or in FCA’s case, just giving up and nuking anything fuel efficient from orbit.

anti enthusiast or just anti elitist jerk?
Actually had a length chat with a couple OPPOs in real life tuesday about how hard it is to really objectively choose a car. There are so many perfectly good choices that will fill all your real needs. In the end it pretty much has to come down to something else to make a decision, some subjective, illogical factor.

indeed :] Good thing there are so many rad options to fit any rad person out there. Sucks that the auto enthusiasts/ enthusiast elite (typical kind, not OPPOs at all) get in these huge pissing battles over how they know what is the best option according to all these goofy stats and objective opinions they see and read. Hanging out with some mates and looking through whats out there is a pretty genuine way to narrow the options when in the market. Especially here on OPPO where for years and years we’ve offered the best of pointers and tips. On occasion, supporting that rad illogical factor more than anything lol :]
