Does anyone else adjust their seat really often?

I can never seem to find a position for my seat that feels right. I’d say I usually change something about it at least once every time I drive somewhere for more than 5 minutes or so. In all the standard cars I’ve had, I never adjusted the seat this much. I’d make sure my legs were at a good distance for clutch control, and then worry about the rest not as much. In autos, like my Subaru, it’s like I’m always trying to find the perfect seating position, but I never can.

Just the incline but not by much between the early morning way to work and the way home.  I guess they should add a Woke adaptation to seat settings.

Exactly the opposite. I have my “comfy spot”, and the bare POSSIBILITY that someone may have moved it (eg if I’m sharing driving) gets me fidgeting.

I never adjust mine. It took me about 20 minutes to find the perfect spot when I first got my car, and I havent changed it other than to put it back if someone else drives my car, which is only sliding it back and forth. No one is allowed to change the backrest.

I adjust fairly frequently. Sometimes I want to sit more upright. Sometimes I want to relax a bit more.

I find myself adjusting the seat when I haven’t driven a particular car in more than a few days.

Manual seats, yes — about every 30 minutes. With power seats and their infinite adjustability, I tend to find something I like for longer (2-4 hours). But changing your seat position on long trips is a good way to reduce fatigue.

Never. I tried moving it back a few months ago but found that it was at the limits of its travel. There are some extra adjustments on the side but I haven’t had to touch them in ages.

And this is why I don’t miss power seats.

My car is set perfectly and I never adjust anything. Most rental cars I will spent the entire day tweaking stuff and sometimes never be comfortable.

On my primary car I know just where I like it and never adjust it. If my wife drives it she will raise the seat and it can take me a few days to figure out why things don’t seem right. On rentals and business cars it takes me about an hour to get it right.

Nah but I did have 3 different memory settings that I would use depending on the situation. 1 was my hyper alert more upright position, 2 was my normal day to day and 3 was for long highway cruises in which my seat was way far back.

I’ll never get a car without it!

Mine gets adjusted because of footwear changes. Workboots, running flats, crosstrainers, hikers or tennis shoes. They all have a slight different pedal feel and thickness.

I hate adjusting my seat. I’m like 5'6" and every time I take my car to the shop they make the tallest mechanic they have work on it as a joke. Then I pick it up and I almost can’t reach the pedals.

I had the opposite happen when my car was at the dealer. I’m 5'10, and the receptionist moved my car out front and I think she was 4'8 or something, I had to move the seat back before I could get in
