I’m pretty sure they made them with manuals through the second generation. I’m not sure why they dropped them when they moved to the Kuga, considering it is sold with one elsewhere in the world and uses very similar engines to the Focus (same platform). That means they had them until 2012...

My dad had a 2003 Saturn Vue manual for many years before handing it down to my older brother. Similar situation, although manual Vues seem relatively easy to find on the used-car market.

I tried to buy a manual Escape new the last year they made it and also tried to buy the twin Tribute in a manual (2010 maybe?) but the dealers were complete clowns who were more interested in selling me an F150 or a Titan at Mazdanissanjeepland that I gave up and bought a used manual Santa Fe.

My wife had an orange one (02, maybe?) with a 5-speed when we got married. Finished paying it off and 3 months later a trailer came off of a pickup and destroyed her trouble-free car.
I replaced it with the Vibe GT, so no complaints, but yeah, it would have been nice to enjoy a paid off car while we were starting out.
