Tucker is one of the most vile people on television. He invites slightly underqualified guests on his show and then just asks them slightly off-base questions repeatedly in a loud voice and doesn’t let the, respond until they get flustered. He then acts annoyingly smug like he’s proved a point when in fact he’s never contributed anything of value to any conversation or debate. He is everything that’s wrong with TV and pundits.
In every interview I’ve seen him give, the questions he asks are difficult for the guests to answer because he intentionally asks things which have inaccuracies or assumptions built into the question. The guest looks like they’re “dodging the question” or finding it difficult to answer while really Tucker is really just using total fallacies to undermine their point. Because he is so offensively aggressive and it’s his show he can usually get the best of his guest regardless of who is actually right. He also constantly attacks the guests or their organizations directly rather than the point they’re trying to make. When you realize everything that’s happening it’s just so painful to watch.
As for his “segments” on his show, he constantly uses inaccurate, under-researched, or plainly false statistics and stories. He sometimes invites guest “journalists” (who are often little more than inflammatory internet bloggers) on to prove points or tell stories which are simply created to get a reaction from views but aren’t followed up on or repeated because they’re plainly indefensible. He’s masquerading as a journalist and really just presenting opinions as if they’re fact so often.
Moreover, I’m a young person and I communicate very informally in general but watcher Tucker seriously offends my sensibilities and honestly makes me disappointed in the state of TV as a whole. Watching him shout at guests, interrupt people, repeat himself ad nauseam , and sometimes outright bully people on TV makes me feel sick. He’s offensive and a total hack and it’s shocking to me that he’s allow on TV at all, let alone Fox where the view base is supposedly older people.

That’s just the thing though. He doesn’t “put people in their place”, he just puts on a show and bullies people. Tucker doesn’t introduce evidence to disagree with people, he just shouts at them, repeats himself, and asks intentionally bad questions. Nothing is achieved rhetorically. He is literally just a manifestation of the bottom pits of TV punditry.
He also usually purposefully avoids having well spoken or media friendly guests on his show because they tend to point out how he really doesn’t care what the other person has to say. He just wants them to be on the screen while he enjoys the sound of his own voice. Seriously, the guests on his show are super low rent. He talks them up like they’re important but they’re low tier workers or no-name journalists sometimes just freelancing for the organizations he doesn’t like. It’s total mischaracterization and misrepresentation.
Actually “putting people in their place” would entail actually addressing the point the guest is making and refuting it in a logically consistent manner. Tucker has never done anything like that and never even contributes anything of value to the conversations he takes part in. That’s why he’s just an incendiary hack. He got fired from CNN for being a rude and mindless freak who just spews insults and BS and now he’s just found a home at Fox doing the same thing. I’m rather shocked that you can’t see through his facade and honestly think he’s actually achieving something or contributing anything.

To be fair, Paul Begala is no peach either, but not on the same scale as Tucker. You can see how flustered and offensive Tucker gets because he knows he is has been called out.
Notice how Tucker seems to spend the entire interview trying to discredit Stewart and attack him personally (usually while interrupting) rather than joining the greater discourse and address the points being made. To a mindless few, this may seem like “putting them in their place” but ultimately it’s a hack tactic and doesn’t achieve anything.
