The shittiest thinest carpet you can find, with no insulation, attached to the floor with double sided tape and cut into tiny bits to match the curves of the floor pans.
There is tar sound deadener and insulation under a thick carpet now.

I’ll be ordering new carpet for the ‘63 as soon as I have the door seals replaced and the floor repaired. I think the current carpets were taken from a two-door - they don’t match the rear door opening properly.

No, it’s the second Bel Air, which has had some good, some bad, and some terrible repairs. I’m currently bringing it back to some kind of glory. The other one is still completely turquoise, but the colors are close.

The Galaxie leaks water into the floorboards through the doors every time it rains heavily, and the carpets are badly stained even outside of that from other causes. Their coloration varies from bleached reddish to gold to almost black. Very much in need of being removed.

This one is light blue with a white roof and a 4 door, the other one is a turquoise 2 door. But the colors are close, ans the lighting doesn’t help

I think my brain was expecting car so automatically processed the colors ad being the same. That’s awesome - you probably have half of the 60 Chevys in Europe!
