I haven’t posted in since like December, other than my recent post on stanced cars . I still have my 2006 Civic LX (most recent picture below)

I am going to buy a new front bumper as mine is incredibly damaged on the driver’s side, and I am planning to buy Eibach Sportline Springs in the coming months, I like the drop alot.

Are you going to buy shocks to go with Eibach Sportline springs? Because they’ll ride like shit on stock shocks. Some lowering springs are ok with stock shocks but Sportlines are not one of them.

I am doing it more for the drop rather than the handling... I’m not tracking or anything

I was hearing sportlines are fine with stock shocks, but I’m probably going to wait a little bit to see

Stock shocks provide a certain amount of damping based on the stock spring rates and suspension travel. Reducing suspension travel through lowering, and increasing spring rate, both require more damping. You can do a little bit of lowering and a little bit more spring rate with stock shocks and still have them work ok, but too much of either and the shocks will not control the motion of the car with the stiffer & shorter springs.

Eibach Pro-Kit springs are designed to work ok with stock shocks. They will work better with upgraded shocks. Eibach Sportline springs are more aggressive and require upgraded shocks.

kudos for wanting to spend more money than you have to on a honda civic sedan.

Currently running the Eibach Sportline Springs with the matching shock. I am happy.

It’s about the same but everyone seems to recommend the Sportlines. They are cheaper in Canada too iirc

That’s funny! I have about 130k miles on my Civic which is almost the same but in freedom units. My plan is to drive it 1.5 more years until I turn 25 and insurance on an AMG or something silly wont be such a rip.

My 2005 has been a slight pain in the rear, but it’s at 170k and running great (save the throttle position sensor...). It just hasn’t ever been fun enough to put any money into, though the lack of a 3rd pedal is probably a lot of that.
