I may or may not have two 918s in my posession now. If I can, I’ll go for a third one this afternoon.
I have one in regular gloss black with the standard wheels, one in Acid Green with Platinum Satin wheels (Salomondrin inspired), and I want one in Carmine Red with black wheels like the final 918 Spyder produced.

I won the 918 last night and I’ve only played the game twice since downloading it late last week. Having the Horizon 3 demo did help. I blazed through the demo content that is in the full game. Finished that stuff in no time. My happiness came in getting my first barn find, the Dino in 2nd hour of play last night.

The game definitely needs some good canyon or mountain (not Blizzard Mountain...) roads for sure. That was my favorite section in the first Horizon game.

The fact you can fit 2 cars wide in a single lane is just ridiculous. I know they did it so players would have an easier time avoiding the ai and traffic cars but it’s just boring. I want roads with lots of turns, sketchy drop offs, and elevation change. Blizzard mountain isn’t that twisty either.

Exactly. I don’t consider Blizzard Mountain an actual mountain. It’s more like an over-glorified ski slope with some rocks sticking out and houses at the bottom. Is the whole snow-effect deal cool? Yeah. Was the design of this expansion aside from the snow that great. Not at all. I want Storm Island back.
I want to see a REAL mountain pass expansion. I need some Initial D roads up in there. Maybe that’ll be the next game. They’ll take it to Japan. It is the next logical choice IMO. First they did the US, then on to western Europe, then Australia. I highly doubt they’d put it in Russia or Antarctica. South America would be a good bit similar to some of the Australian parts. So somewhere in Asia would be next in the logical progression of where the game travels to next. And within Asia, I would think Japan would be the top choice. From the mountain passes where drifting was created to the wangan expressways that gave us the Mid Night Club. If I were a betting man, that’s where I’d put my money.

I’d say the snow effect fell flat for me. The constant non visibility and drivetars not feeling affected by the slippery road surface, even putting down power on the ice.

And yeah. I guess people kept pushing the prices up and up to see how high they could go and still get people to buy them. Hopefully they prices will come back down because it didn’t seem like anyone was willing to pay 10 mil. I did see a few sell for 5-6 mil though. I might give in at that price. Although that would basically make me broke in-game, lol.

I thought the effects on my cars were interesting. But yeah, it was annoying just how well the AI was able to control the car in the same conditions. That’s something I hope Turn 10 will work on before they try to roll snow out to any future games.

I tried basically every combination of assists and difficulty and I still couldn’t get my car to put down power like it was on dry pavement like they could. Snow tires or not.
