Has anyone dealt with Detroit Wheel & Tire for getting replacement wheels? They are about the cheapest place I’ve seen for getting OEM (reman) wheels for Fords and I’m wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences with them. The wheels on my F-150 are trashed from winter and I want to get another set to use in the summer since I now have two sets of tires for the truck.

I browse their site frequently. They seem to have everything. A buddy of mine got a set of wheels for his CTS-V through them. No problems

Cheaper than Craigslist take offs?

I’m in the middle of nowhere, craigslist turns up exactly zero results. Plus I’d rather deal with a company that can ship them to me without hassle.

There is a trailer place eTrailer.com that’s 15 minutes from my house. I’ve had to order from them while I was out of town so I could work on it over the weekend when I got home. I understand your predicament.

yes, when I chunked one of my SRT-4's wheels on a hunk of concrete which pulled up from the surface of 696, I went there to get a replacement. About the same or a little cheaper than what I could find online, once shipping was accounted for.

I know I’m a bit late to the party, just now saw this post... Detroit Wheel and Tire does fantastic work. I’ve had one set of wheels refinished/painted on my 69 Camaro, and I exchanged the OEM rims on my 2014 Charger R/T for the same wheels but in satin black. I’ve toured their facility and it’s top-notch, I don’t believe they sell new wheels at all, everything is used and refurbished/refinished, but I can say without question that both sets of wheels they’ve done for me looked nearly perfect (I couldn’t find any imperfections). They also didn’t require an inordinate amount of weights or anything funky like that. They seem to have the equipment to do the repairs properly. The paint on my wheels has been extremely durable, I see no blemishes/issues after driving quite a bit through the winter.

Thanks for the feedback. I need to call them up and get some wheels on the way ASAP.
