I had a coworker I really hated who was from Italy; I would go out of my way to do things like pronounce Milan the British way just to get under her skin.

My dad was a bit of a git, and I once asked what a donkey and an elephant had to do with U.S. Politics, ‘he replied one is to do with their size, the other is their intelligence’.

As I say, he was a git, but some were funny moments.

There’s a Milan in the us where they pronounce it ‘My Lan’, but it comes out as my land most of the time. I gave up on what they pronounce place names as versus how they spell it and everyone else spells it.

I need some Superb photos ASAP. Hook a fella up?

There’s a Birmingham, Alabama in the U.S. and Birmingham, England.

The U.S. puts an emphasis on the M making it Bir-ming-Ham. Where as with us it’s Birm-ing-ham or in Birmingham it’s pronounced Burm-ing-um.

One in each front door.

The Mk2 estate we had previously only had one in the left hand side rear door.

I keep going back to watch the car on Youtube. The selling dealership posted a short video to promote the car, two months after she left us.

The Mk1 (VW Passat) had a pocket in the rear doors for the umbrella.

The Superb that’s like porn to me is the Superb 520ps.

I’m not into fast cars but this sleeper is amazing.
