I need to order an engine and found one I want but the dismantler will only ship to businesses. Does anyone know a shop in or near SLC that would buy an engine for me? I would obviously compensate said shop for the help.

Try Action Auto in Murray. They’re good guys, generally pretty helpful. Or maybe see if a salvage yard would do it for you.

You can also see if they’ll ship it to the freight companies local yard and hold it there for you to pick up. Another option might be to talk to the engine seller again and indicate that you are willing to pay for it, and indicate to them that you know who much that will really cost. Many freight shippers actually will deliver to a residential address, but they will charge you very dearly for the convenience of sending out a truck with a liftgate on it. Easily expect the freight cost to double for residential service.
