Kinja'd!!!

So I figured I kill two birds with one stone and get a custom plate for the M3. I was going to go with a Georgia Tech plate, but I was like let me see if I can get something different. So I asked the woman working there if “E90 M3" was available. Apparently it wasn’t taken, so I went ahead and ordered that for the E90. Since I did that, she transferred the plate from the M3 to the 328i so I didn’t have to pay $20 for a new plate for the 3.

Did you get the “In God We Trust” in place of the county name? IIRC that’s pretty popular there.

I actually saw someone around where I live (Gwinnett) with that saying “In Pizza we Crust”. I laughed for a while.

I love it. I will keep my eyes peeled for such a plate.

They didn’t ask and I didn’t specify. I assume since I had the county on there before, that’s how it’ll come.

Probably won’t see it unless you’re in the Savannah area. I was in Roswell for my job search, but have since found a job and relocated.

Well I probably wouldn’t see it due to my lack of eyes either.

Well, that’s slightly better than just using the plate to repeat the model name.

If personalizing, be creative. (Which explains why my plates aren’t personalized.)

There’s a 2017 Sportage in my neighborhood with an “On My Mind” tag. Some of those plates are older than me... Why do people still have them?

No idea. This was the only version I could find on an online plate generator.

When I moved and transferred my tags the lady asked if I wanted the pointy sticker or “in god we trust”. I let out an awkward “uhhh” and she handed me the county stickers.

We have old tags in my parents basement. I think I have my “on my mind” tag somewhere behind my truck seat. It’s always confusing. It used to be the tag stayed with the car, then the tag stayed with you, now it seems they just issue a new tag every new owner and you toss the old tag unless you go out of your way to transfer it.

I used to have antique tags on my truck. It was just $30 all in. Then out of no where they made the antique tag fee $60 on top of the normal tag stuff. I said no thanks. I wasn’t going to give them $60 for a sub $20 tag.

ha! my friend did the exact same thing and ended up with the ‘in god we trust.’ go figure.
