“Nope, not waiting two months to claim points from my trip to the gas station. That’s a load of crap.”

EDIT: oh cool, they won’t even let me retroactively claim the points. That sucks too.

Could be worse. Apparently the Canadian Tire Mastercard is the worst loyalty credit card you can buy.

Conversely, if Air Canada took Canadian Tire Money, I wouldn’t need these points.

I’m curious how Pintsize got a bunch of Canadian Tire money, to be honest.

Then again, maybe I don’t want to know.

Apparently they changed a lot of things like no expiration dates for points and all members get access to all rewards, whereas previously it was tiered depending on how many points you earned per year and those points would expire as well.

Air Miles can be very, very shitty, but I guess it depends on your expectations. I got a Wii U at the time with a couple of games and a $300 pair of headphones - I like the fact that I can “splurge” on some entertainment/electronics as a result of my regular spending.

Still, I think I’d be better off with a cashback card or a Mastercard from the a big Canadian grocery chain (Loblaws/PC Financial) which would give me points for groceries which I have to buy anyway.
