I hadn’t had a chance to watch last series as I don’t have cable, but I realized it was available on Netflix.

So, after having watched 3 episodes, I honestly don’t see why this got so much hatred and vitriol across the internet. I am actually enjoying it. I don’t have the problem that apparently everyone else seemed to have with Chris Evans. I think while it is much the same show that it was with Clarkson/May/Hammond at the helm, it’s nice to see some new presenters.

If I had to change anything, it seemed like the in studio star segments went a little long, but that’s just a minor gripe.

It’s a fine motoring show. Much better than most of the manufactured drama that you get on the Discovery/Velocity series(es?)

Watched it for the first time on Netflix recently as well. It’s not nearly as bad as it was made out to be in my opinion. You can tell the chemistry is a little off between the hosts, but it’s early in production and they’re getting to know each other. Still, I won’t miss Evans, but I don’t think he’s that bad.

I think I only watched three episodes. Just wasn’t worth it. The new season is good fun though. Getting rid of Evans was a huge plus.

Oooh. It’s on Netflix? Time to catch up. I only caught parts of the season before.

I thought some segments were really good, it was mostly the in-studio stuff that I thought was not very good.

I really enjoy the new season without Evans - it feels a lot more natural and I think there’s some good chemistry building up. The segments have been pretty cool, too. I completely forgot to watch the episode from this past Sunday but last week’s off-road race was pretty crazy.

The revised Top Gear along with Ignition (I think it’s just a bunch of guys from Motor Trend) are the only car shows I’m watching right now.

If anything, I think I enjoyed the revised Top Gear more than I did the first season of the Grand Tour.

S23 had a bit too much going on in all directions, but parts were good. S24 has gone back to the “love of motoring” roots and created a solid show without much nonsense. They only lack the perfect episode for me to have the same quality as we saw 7 years ago.

The Chiron race episode was, in my eyes, very nearly perfect.

Really enjoyed that one. Mostly lacking a better guest than Tinie Tempah.
