I use these little pump spray bottles on my home HVAC air filter as a quick and easy way to make the whole house smell nice. Changing the filter tonight, I thought maybe it would work well in the car too. Or maybe it would just be overpowering in a small space and make the whole thing stink. Anyone tried this or something similar?

Sounds interesting, I think there is an ozium product aimed at that idea, but never heard of this stuff for the home filter. How long does it last in the home application.

sounds like a good idea, but I bet it will be need to be a very light spray or you’ll get what you said about being overwhelmed.

No, but I have sprinkled those little scented pellets on my cabin air filter, they work for weeks/months. But a clip-on vent scent works a lot better, so I’ve gone that route.

Just dropped in a new JDM Squash in the truck; It hides under the seat and make it smell yummy for a year or two;

We use no such products in my house, because even though we have 3 cats, my wife doesn’t like the chemical vapors.

We have scented candles, incense sticks, and this vaguely hippie-friendly air freshener (it’s made from plants!) on the downstairs litter box because it’s in a small airspace.

We also use activate carbon furnace filters, and an air purifier that has carbon and HEPA filters, and an ionizer.

Oh, you were talking about cars.

Try rubbing a Bounce fabric softener sheet over your filter. Smells great, and it’s not overpowering like fragrances. Everyone loves the smell of fresh linen.

You don’t need to add any smells when the BMW HVAC comes smelling like crayons.

The package claims that it lasts for weeks, but in practice it seems to last a few days for me. Obviously how often the fan is running and how big the house is will have some effect.

I would just use a car air freshener bomb. this might be the nuclear option.
