It’s not an M and I think it has the ‘S’ body kit but I don’t think there are any visual differences between the 325is/325es/318is.

Correct on the ‘s’ designation because of the front lip and sports seats. It’ll be a 325es or 325is though, the 318is was only offered on the later, plastic-bumpers cars.

Most likely a USDM 325i/318is. Ask the owner if it was a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder.
The 318is had a 1.8 inline 4, the 325i had a 2.5 inline 6.
The i/is models are largely undistinguishable, but are from e’s.

It’s not a 325e based on the lower bumper, which actually doesnt match In color so who knows.
