Spent SIX HOURS detailing my car on Friday. Didn’t drive it much at all during the weekend. Today, it rains on it. All my work is done. Sigh.
I had driven the S10 this morning, but the rain had left the forecast and it was borderline sunny, so I switched cars. Soon as I did, boom. Rain. All day.
I give up trying to have a clean car, haha. I’m going to wipe it down with detailer spray when I get home but I don’t know what good it’ll do. I was hoping to get a few more pictures before I let it get dirty again.

I don’t mind the rain after full detailing. The slick surface makes for an easy cleanup.

Start using a good sealant after a wash, then the rain won’t bother you. I feel your pain tho, washed it yesterday and it absolutely poured all morning.. pre wash pic

I bought a snow foam lance (and PH neutral foam!) last week, paid an extra fiver so I had it in time for the 4 day Easter weekend (here in the UK) and........... both cars are still dirty, the i3 even more so cos we went to North Wales in it yesterday. It’s just rained so much this weekend that my plan of spending a day on each of the cars never happened. I would be feeling like you if I had tied detailing them, I know how you’re feeling well!!

Last week they had a car detailing article on the FP, and someone commented that keeping a black (or other dark colour) car spotless is a part time job. Even more so if it has to sit outside from time to time, or even all the time.
I already have a full time job, so all I do is preventative, get bird poo off, keep the wheels from getting too far, etc....
Looks good in that picture? Well, when I picked up a friend later that day he was like “nice water spots”.
