It’s really funny because I know a guy who wanted to turbo his (really poorly cared for) supra to increase it’s value. It doesnt work that way... He realised adding a turbo was beyond his skills and gave up jn the end.

These were the exact guys I hated when I lived in Massachusetts. You’d walk through a car show, or parking lot and see something really well done, turn to the owner, and say, “Nice car.”
Instead of hearing, “Thanks! I like it too.” Or even, “It took a lot to get it to this.” You got, “No shit.”
NJ has its issues with attitude, but they at least revel in a compliment.

It’s funny, I lived in SW Michigan where we were overrun by FIPs in the summer and am now in NJ with the Bennies from NYC. MA was the only time actually lived year-round with the people everyone in the area hated.
I was in Lowell, so the roads were packed every weekend with the fleeing to points north on both 495 and 93. Meanwhile, my MTB was on the back of my rusty old Mercury on my way to Carlisle or Lynn Woods to enjoy what the morons were leaving behind.
