Shit.
Had a 12pm work call Saturday with people WAY above my paygrade for not so pleasant things and it took up most of the rest of the day.
Sunday I had to go to - my brother in law’s Sister in law’s - house for easter and ate shit polish/russian food. The family claims to be of eastern European descent but clearly has no idea on how to prepare traditional dishes. Dinner was made up of bought cold ham and pineapple with a side of plastic tub Sauerkraut and supermarket Kiebasa. That took up my entire Sunday.

Terrible. Studying and still studying - gonna go into work for a few hours soon which will be followed by more studying.
Exam is tomorrow, so I’ll be relieved once it’s done regardless of how well I end up doing.
I had a choice of exam date and I really wish I had remembered Easter at the time - by the time I realized my error it was too late.

Replaced the timing chain tensioner on my 540i. The old one was definitely bad, unfortunately p0011 code was showing as pending so either the chain stretched or jumped a tooth while it was slack.

Mine wasn’t bad. Didn’t do much for Easter but I cleaned my apartment and had some bike rides and then made kielbasa and potatoes Sunday night. So I guess above average overall?

I was at work from 7-4 Saturday busting ass and sort of playing damage control for those that get paid way more than me.
On Sunday, went over to my brother’s wife’s cousin’s house. They got together for Easter lunch. They also claim to be Mexican and all that blah blah but probably 2 or 3 out of the 50 people there speak sort of Spangish at best. Food wise, it was the typical butchered wanna be Mexican but horrible chicano Tex-Mex. Was only going to be there a little while but of course that didn’t happen.

I didn’t have to take anything besides the airbox out to get to the tensioner. Replaced the crush washer. I’m going to have to open it up to replace the chain and guides and reset time. I’m leaning towards doing it myself because labor will cost over 2x parts. Ordered the bentley manual because most of the vidoes/guides I found seemed to leave out different details. Basically every seal in the front of the engine comes in the kit from ECS. Will probably end up replacing the water pump and possibly the alternator since both have to come off anyways.

Heh, the family can’t speak a lick of Polish but somehow consider themselves such.
Makes for a stark contrast to my family get togethers where we roll through multiple languages during a conversation and I get made fun of because I speak Afrikaans like an Englishman.

Afrikaans is a local African dialect of Dutch, up until the 1950's it was actually called “Kitchen Dutch”. Much like how Mexican Spanish is slightly different from Castilian Spanish.
I’m fluent in it however because I grew up in KwaZulu Natal (a predominantly English and Zulu speaking area) my accent is different to my families and they like to make fun of me and call me a “Rooinek”.
