At least you can see the ground under the car.

I see clean 5th gen Preludes here and there, but they’re always automatic, and you should run as far as you can from one of those.

I’m currently looking for an Integra GSR or Prelude and it is sooo true. The appeal of them to me is in their dinged-up, never-need-to-wash, faded paint, disposable nature.

I had a 92 GSR way back when, and still dream of one day having a super clean K20-swapped DA Integra.

Is there a reason for DA over DC2? What do you think about getting between the 5th gen Prelude and the 3rd gen GSR?

When I bought my DA in 2001 it was because I had 6 grand in cash to buy a car and I was able to get it for that. I knew I wanted a VTEC motor, but 4th gen Preludes and DC2 Integras were too expensive and I didn’t have the resources to do a motor swap in a CRX or Civic. I liked it because while the GSR was common with the DC2 Integra, it was only about 10% of the 92-93 DA Integra production, so it was kinda special in a way.

Also generally I just love the super open feeling of the late 80s early 90s Hondas with the huge windows and super low dashes. Once Honda started with dual airbags in the EG Civic, DC Integra, etc, the dashes started getting taller and the windows shrank. They’re still much more open feeling than modern cars but not to the extent of those DA Integras, EF Civics, 3rd gen Preludes, etc.

My favorite styling and interior is the 3rd gen Prelude but the aftermarket support for them was never very good.

Generally when comparing any Integra to any 4th/5th gen Prelude, the Prelude is a bigger overall car with more torque, but less room inside because of the 2+2 coupe body style vs. hatchback. Well, the width of the cabin is better.
