Highways waste a lot of urban space, I’m honestly surprised there’s not more attempts to build stuff over them. I guess for a high-rise carrying the building’s weight around the road is a bit of an engineer challenge, along with worrying what happens if tanker truck crashes and catches fire beneath it (to say nothing of the (extremely low) risk of an adversarial attack).

When the floor above or beneath you gets sold to the government to build a road through the building, I imagine it must be deafening.

Also, property prices would plummet faster than you, if you jumped off the building.

How do they avoid that?
