Our house has an enclosed front porch. Very frequently during the spring and fall, Hammer wants to spend the night out there. He loves a cool evening.
For the first time ever, he took a dump out there last night. I can’t even be mad, it’s the first time since he was a kitten that he pooped outside his litter box. Even that only happened once when he accidentally got locked in our office all day. Luckily it was firm, and he didn’t pee at all.

I bet your cat knows the world is round. Your cat is smarter than too many humans. Maybe the cat should be president. Then when the cat says the world is not flat, we’ll listen INSTEAD OF BEING DUMB STUPID HEADS ABOUT IT.

No, when he stays on the porch at night he’s locked out there and can’t get into the litter box until we let him into the house in the morning.

Exactly. That’s why I can’t be mad. He didn’t try to hide it or anything either, it was right in the middle of the porch where I couldn’t miss seeing it.

We’ve got a small brown cat who’s been roaming our neighborhood for a few years. Last fall a HUGE fluffy white one started showing up as well. And then last month I saw the brown one with three brown and white kittens.

The closest I’ve ever gotten to that brown cat or the one time I saw her with the kittens is about 20 feet (7 meters).
