With Porsch-uh now confimed on Horizon 3 I’m onboard . Downloaded 22gb last night before my ISP interrupted things for some network changes. I only had Forza Apex and the Horizon 3 demo on PC before this because I’m an old guy and have no Xbox. Now I guess I get to roam around Australia like many others. At least it keeps me out of trouble . The wife looks at me strange when I grab a couple of beers and head over to the PC for some “drinkin n driving”. Its the only safe way. After I finish the download I’m heading straight to the Porsche pack. Now if they would just let us expand the track and car selections on Apex things would be ideal.

It’s definitely worth it and the weekly Forzathons keep me interested even though I bought the game at launch.

In game. No need to grind out credits to buy them. Also Forza giving away Porsches (well some) for free. What a time to be alive.

Fantastic. I had every car in Apex in less than two months. Turn 10 is missing out by not letting the PC users access more of the Forza 6 content. Stepping up H3 with more content got me to spend money on it. Now if they would just let us download more tracks or cars from Forza 6 ala carte or in packs I’d be one of the first to buy them.

Well Forza 7 will be out in 6 months time so it’s probably not worth it.

The weekly two events for Apex barely keep me interested there anymore because its always the same tracks. Hoping H3 will keep me entertained.

Wait, what? They’re the only DLC cars that aren’t free in my game.

The last Forza Motorsport that had me hooked was FM4. 5 and 6 were okay but just got stale with time. I really like Horizon 3's car selection and open world.

Kinja'd!!!

Did someone buy them in game on your save and then sell them?

Not that I know of, I only play it on my PC, with me being the only one that has access to it.

Dave, I need to find a set of door seals for the ‘71 Vandura. That year, there were no clips, and the strips are glued in around the doors. Do you have any recommendations?

Look at Rock Auto under the universal parts at top of page. Go to body parts and then weatherstrips. You can even but 1 foot pieces as a sample. You will need to compare the contour of the extrusions or pick something other that stock profile that will work. There is also Soffseal.com to go to but they will be a bit pricier and they only have universal stuff for year too. Both Rockauto and Soffseal have window glass rubber that should work too. I’m off this week but next week I’ll try to remember to look up the old GM part. I think they ran up to 90's vans but you would still need to cut and glue if I recall, plus much more $$$.

You know, the thing’s been sitting in my driveway since October and I haven’t even started it yet. The weatherstripping around the doors is completely shot and the front doors are needing to be completely rebuilt: stripping, regulators, et cetera. And the three-on-the-tree shifter is completely bolloxed from someone trying to steal the van before I bought it. And the radiator is full of crustaceans. On the bright side, the carb is rebuilt, new fuel pump and ignition parts and brakes. In any event, I want the body and cab to be driveable as well as the mechanicals.

My plan is to have the windshield removed by a car glass dude so that I can take care of some surface rust. I’ll use a new rubber seal, but for the side windows, I’m hoping to defer the rubber replacement.

The entire vehicle seems kind of flimsy, so anything I do will probably amount to an upgrade from stock.

And having said all of that , I’m just not in a great hurry to start the engine because I’m certain that it runs just fine, but I can’t even back the thing out of the driveway. I’m sort of inclined to start it more like last , so that when it’s running, I can drive it around and it’s not complete roadkill. Only slightly.

I’d be curious to read your comment(s) on this post:

That is a giant radiator. It looks to me like it has two rows of tubes and the tanks could actually support four rows.

I’d find a radiator shop in your area of CA that is on Angies list or is recommended by friends. Take some pictures and the tank flange measurements to them to get an estimate and advice from them. If its a good shop they should be straight shooters on how to proceed. Stock radiator then was a 28 1/4" two row radiator about a 17" tall core. They measure the core flange to flange and top to bottom. Not sure if they have a core for those anymore. The brass stuff is getting rare. Most new radiators for those with come with a cooler for automatic trans that you just keep plugged if you keep it manual trans.
