Just finished watching it again last night

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Its my favorite Wes Anderson. I remember watching it for the first time in the theater with, like, 20 other people. it is not the commercial formula.

its certainly not for everyone, I just think its such a great movie for displaying the emotion of Captain Steve. So nicely written for his character.

Agreed.

Life Aquatic is the only Wes Anderson film I enjoy. The rest are simply far too absurd for me.

I thought Moonrise Kingdom was probably his best and a terrific return to form. I’m a big Wes Anderson fan though.

So there you go? Im inversely proportional to Wes Anderson fandom.

Moonrise kingdom was painful for me. I wanted to laugh but it was too much to ask of child actors. Edward norton did pretty great. Bill Murray was lame in it.

I loved Darjeeling Limited, but Life Aquatic is one of my fav films too. I have the soundtrack and all the extra tracks Seu Jorge recorded. I was living in Japan when that came out so I have a few fold out posters in Japanese, one is the Belafonte cutaway and some cool aquatic life like the jaguar shark. I recently watched some Jacques Cousteau on youtube and it was nuts, they throw explosives in the water and go pick up all the bodies. Life Aquatic isn’t far off!
