70s Personal Luxury Edition. I think I found some good ones. First up.

1972 Oldsmobile 98, I was hoping for a Tornado but found this first. First off it’s got some crazy headlights.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

But check out the green interior

Kinja'd!!!

Next up a 1977 Chrysler New Yorker, it couldn’t be more BROWN, but that’s just part of its 70s charm.

Gib all that me!!!!

If I must pick, DD the Olds, track the New Yorker, and burn the Marquis... although I will likely extinguish the fire with my tears.

So, the goal of “burn” is to destroy the burned car, yes? Does it actually need to be set on fire? I’m going with no.

DD the Olds

Track the Marquis

Demolition derby the New Yorker. See, it’s the same platform as an Imperial, but it’s not an Imperial .

DD the olds, because the interior wouldn’t make me depressed looking at it every day.

Track the Ford because I know more about Ford’s than Chrysler’s, and admittedly very little about the Grand Marquis of this vintage.

Burn the New Yorker.

Daily the Chrysler - if it’s got a big motor, it’ll sound sweet if you open up the exhaust. Plus it’s the best looking. And Dat interior...

Track the Olds because 455 ROCKET.

Rally the Marquis de Sade. Can’t burn it.

Those are 3 nice cars, btw.

For me the Olds get the DD spot for the green interior alone.

I’m with shop-teacher.

DD: the Olds (455)

Drag race: the New Yorker (440)

Burn: The Merc (probably a 351, could be a 460 though)

Im not really into luxobarges, but that oldsmobile looks hot.

Im going to DD the olds, Track the merc, burn the chrysler because that seat looks supremely uncomfortable.

I tried to make them all pretty equal. I started with the Olds so the bar was set high.

The Mercury would make for faster pit stops since it’s the only one without wheel skirts. So it would makea good endurance racer...24 hours of luxury.

The Chrysler is listed as a 400, which is too bad.

DD the New Yorker - ‘cause of all that style. Track the Marquis since it’s ALMOST a Cyclone. Burn the Olds, (it’s just ugly...)

I don’t know. Cars of this vintage had shoulder belts but might have been separate from the lap belt. The color mismatch has me thinking aftermarket — but no idea WHY anyone would want to do this aftermarket. Plus, we had an LTD of this vintage in the family, and I don’t remember anything like it.

I found a pic from a 77 Tbird showing the same thing, but it seems it was a 1 year only thing.

I want to see a modern drivetrain swap in these and see what kind of mpgs you can get. “I bet you get like 7mpg lol” “nah, 15/25"

I’d bet with a proper tune and a good overdrive you could do pretty well. Plus it would drive even smoother so that’s a plus

Wow, I thought I had no interest in these cars and then I see these rolling armchairs.

Daily the Oldsmobile Green Interior, track the Chrysler BROWN and burn the Mercury BROWN.
