The entry cost on Semis for fleet use is HIGH AS FUCK it will be tough to get people to buy into this. Do you think they are better off licensing the tech to established truck makers?

That said trucks with blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning systems and better autonomous driving sounds good.

I have a feeling that the trucks will be sold in bulk orders to trucking companies rather than to individual truckers. Most likely for regional use rather than cross-country hauls. The price points will be high, but when you factor in fuel savings...

I think Tesla is better off keeping the tech private, but possibly partnering with other manufacturers in the future. Who knows how this one was conceived, but it’ll be interesting to see the details.

After they learn to not deliver cars with major problems such as broken A-pillars, perhaps. Or after they produce all the Model 3s as promised. I was really positive on Tesla, but after the Model X, I have serious questions about Tesla as a serious car company, overvalued stock not withstanding.

If you look at the stock price compared to its financials, it’s overvalued. There’s no arguing that point.

The fit and finish of the cars rolling off of their assembly line is hit or miss at this point. But that is, quite frankly, unacceptable for a car company not named “Yugo”.
