The Mk4 is the sexy one that gets all the internets, but i think i like these better. This one’s not a turbo, but a bone stock, all original manual Mk3 is hard to find in any form so it’s pretty cool in my book.

I love these. I wish I had bought one three years ago when they were less loved and had for $5k. Now I never see them for sale and the few that are are asking 8 or 9k in good condition -_-

I actually prefer this one over the MKIV too!

I think it has the perfect mish-mash of 80's and 90's styling without looking like something that belongs in Fast and Furious 27 or however many they’re up to now.

It’s reserved and conservative enough that people who don’t know won’t recognize it, and people that do will nod approvingly.

It also helps that this was the first car I always bought in Gran Turismo since all it needed was a racing muffler so you can win the Clubman Cup very easily, so I may be a bit biased.

I always tried to buy a white one in GT ;)

Hah! I remember that one! I always got the red since it was cheaper.

Prefer, prefer... I like it a lot but the MkIV was a sportscar. The Mk3 3.0 was a great tourer, probably not capable of losing a decent E30 325i on a track.

My brother currently has one in the middle of a 1JZ swap in our garage. It’s going to be slightly wide-bodied to fit a bit larger rubber (nothing crazy). Then he’s going to drift it, I guess.

Could you imagine what kind of following this car could have had if they gave us the twin turbo JZA70 instead of the ancient turd 7m? Also the Cressida could have been a grand national hunter if they gave us the JZX81 outside of Japan. Toyota was just mean.

These are dope. Keep the body stock, 2J swap, all the fun none of the fatness

I’ve always found the Mark IV to be rather ugly. This looks nice though.

I lost the chance to buy a white 1986 100,000 mi example for $4k a couple weeks ago. Thanks for reminding me. My Cheerios taste like tears.

Agreed. My friends step dad had one of these with the turbo and targa top. Such a nice clean cut car. I like them better than the other models.

A60 Supra is even sexier.

Then gib 7M to someone with an A60. It’s fun how many hand-me-down engines there are in this family of cars.

It’s been a car I’ve been wanting to buy since I was a kid. It was the car I rode home from the hospital in, and I’m kicking myself over the times I could have bought one and didn’t because they’re getting expensive now. I almost bought one for about a grand in decent shape when I was 16.

I’ve always got my eye out for one too, one of my favorite toy cars as a kid was a Corgi Supra. There was one listed here not long ago for 1800 but it was super beat up and rusty.

One of my co-workers drives a pretty pristine one, though his is an auto (turbo though.)

Its honestly one of the nicest MKIIIs on the road in my opinion, though he’s a total perfectionist and is always pointing out tiny things that bug him. He refuses to use any aftermarket parts under the hood so that it looks factory original...he’s that guy.
