Yes, let’s all complain about a production that runs nines . I sort of get the complaints about only being able to run unsanctioned tracks, but if people really want a full drag car they can always buy a Cobra Jet Mustang or a COPO Camaro. This thing is street legal. And runs NINES.

I still find it somewhat hilarious how much trouble Mustangs have going in completely straight lines.

Challenger is the purest form of a muscle car. If you want a heavy boulevard cruiser that has the cornering ability of a Corvette, you’re the type of guy who buys anchovie pizza for a pizza party thinking the whole staff loves anchovies. Get a Miata or a Corvette then. And if 800hp disappoints you, you’re the type of guy who gets excited when the McRib comes back but doesn’t get excited when a brewery opens next door to you.

I’m extremely excited about this car, even though I’ve know about it for over a year. I’m super pumped because I may be a Challenger driver soon. More tire is just what the Challenger needed!

The factory drag cars from back then are legendary, though many of the lightweights were not street legal. Personally I worship at the alter of the Thunderbolt. Four hundred and twenty seven inches of high riser glory. None would be street legal if made today.

Absolutely. Ford -“So, yeah, we made a car with a plastic bumper and hood and windows so we can drag race it...?” NHTSA -”u wot m8".
The new Moparities are certainly more... civilized.

I mean, the fact that you can’t actually track it factory stock sucks. However, it’s a neat car, I just wish it would’ve dropped outta nowhere instead of 3 months of garbage hype.

It’s because that car is hyped for longer than it was supposed to. Like Call of Duty.
As a rule, anything that gets massive hype is ALWAYS a disappointment because it’s advertised to be better than it really is. But nobody in the world of marketing ever gets it, so they make the same mistakes.
