Of course you don’t! Well you still want the car. With only 24k on the clock who could say no to a space grey E90 ? It’s not cheapest E90 and it’s not even a 6MT, but you know you want it.

Since I got my E90, I’ve been knocked down several rungs on the income ladder, so ironically it’s about the same for me.

I couldn’t reasonably afford the $18,000 one I found locally, so I bought Taco Bell instead.

I’m not sure how I feel about a high mileage one. I guess with decent service history and no more than 2-3 owners, you could be alright.

Good choice, taco bell might actually be my favorite fast food.

But I want a white or silver or light blue E92 M3!

I did as well. Searched for 2 months and the closet I got, with a 6MT, was space grey.

By the time I can afford an E92 they’ll be E30 prices. Ok, not really, but chances are I’ll forget about them when I got hunting in two or three years.

M3 or single turbo 335i with around $30k in upgrades? I’m not sure what I would pick...

I have way, WAY more stupid things to spend that money on. But you knew that.

Well I have a buddy who eats sleeps and ...maybe has relations with his E46 M3 and all things BMW he says the motor if well maintained will last a good long time no matter what.

Any car that I’m spending over 30k on is for fun, and any fun car I buy needs a stick.

$30k in upgrades is pretty steep... just going FBO with the stock twins puts you way faster than a stock M, that’ll set you back around ~$2500.

Well I’m just comparing the two at equal prices. Single turbo, built motor, suspension brakes all that good stuff done properly would add up quite a bit, but yeah idk about $30k, it would be one hell of a sleeper lol. Also, what is FBO?

The s65 has its share of problems, but it seems they’re random. I heard they changed the rod bearings in late 2010 cars, aka when mine was produced, and that seems to have fixed that issue.

Ah i see. FBO= full bolt ons. Charge pipe, intercooler, downpipe, intake, exhaust.

Ya I’ve heard that as well and that’s why my friend encouraged higher millage ones because they could of had that issue fixed already.
