Dodge has some very clever stuff to make them essentially special-order only. Each crate has the original owner’s name on the serial plate which dissuades dealers from buying in-stock units because a chunk of possible value won’t be there, the crate is shipped direct-to-owner to avoid dealer gouging, and dealers will be told for sure how many units they’re getting so the “we might” game weeds out the less reputable dealers.
