Kinja'd!!!

For a minivan, this looks pretty nice. Too bad it’s an FCA product :(

I feel like every manufacturer has one thing they do really well. GM does V8s, Lexus makes cars quiet, Volkswagen beats emissions tests, and Chrysler can build a great minivan. The Pacifica is one of the few FCA cars I’d feel confident in because I can’t remember them ever really screwing up a minivan.

The late 90's Caravans with the 3.3 engine had a transmission that may as well have contanined a literal time bomb. I learned this when our ‘99 detonated on the interstate violently enough that it put three tennis ball size holes in the bell housing. We also had a ‘96 that had an intermittent electronics issue in colder temperatures (sometimes it wouldn’t start, sometimes it would randomly shut off. The shutting off once happened at speed in the left lane of the New Jersey turnpike), and our ‘01 gargled two motors. We now have a 2012. So far so good?

This is all true, and also true of whatever transmission was behind the 3.8. My mom had an ‘84 Caravan followed by ‘90, ‘94, and ‘00 Town and Country’s. I seem to recall the ‘84 being good, the ‘90 using a pair of transmissions (that was a 3.0), the ‘94 only one, and two in the ‘00. BUT BESIDES THAT they were all really good, haha.

The ‘90 was far and away the best one. White with wood grain and this awesome butterscotch leather interior. The ‘94 couldn’t hold the ‘90's jockstrap.

Needs 20s. But yeah, I think the Pacifica looks better than most crossovers.

We’ve already had one that had an internal transmission electrical fault, and one that they forgot to properly attach the window glass to the regulator/motor assembly.

Because FCA.

But then again, first model year of an all new vehicle so..... I still want one. Just not YET.
