Nothing says “Keeping your daughter safe” like getting rid of a small, fuel efficient hatchback that can’t go that fast, and eventually passing down an SUV that is not only faster, but has a greater risk of rollover when she’ll eventually try sending Snapchat messages while cruising around the Starbucks parking lot. Then again, crash protection ‘n all that jazz.
On the other hand, this is a perfect setup to a sequel commercial where the little girl is now grown and is looking for her first car on Craigslist, and she finds the same little red Civic responsible for her childhood, and then immediately gets her hands on it!
