Braking makes the wheels dirty!

After 930 kms on German Autobahns, the wheels were fucking grey. And, as I predicted, the double spokes are a PITA to clean. Might as well bring a toothbrush next time.

Might even be easier to dismount the tire and wheel to submerge it in a giant ultrasonic tank.

Akebono ceramic pads FTW :)

Depending on what pads you have in there some of the BMW OEM pads can be rather dusty. The newer ones made by Textar are less dusty. Otherwise you can always look at aftermarket. Not sure if Akebono pads are common in Germany but their Euro Ceramic pads are similar stopping power to OE BMW pads but much less dusty.

Ever use one of these, on wheels? I have always been curious as to how well they work.

I saw this a couple days ago and I am planning on getting one for my chrome rims. It looks really cool and it’s water powered.

No washing the car in your driveway or wherever with a hose in Germany. Professional coin operated booths with oil separators or auto car wash.

I’m loving the PCCB’s on my 997. The car will get dirty AF on long drives but the wheels never get brake dust.

Ok...I’ve been looking for something like this, I cannot do another 2 hour back-breaking leg-snapping day of scrubbing away at my wheels only to have them look about 80% clean at the end. Do you use one personally? Does it work?

Have not used one, but I don’t know why it wouldn’t work.

I’m trying to scope them out right now...need something aggressive enough to really get the grime off, not aggressive enough to scratch the finish. I guess that’s the eternal car cleaning dilemma.
