It rained (obviously) but someone brought a 300SL, which is probably worth more than every house on my street combined. Got some neat photos for the brief moment when the sun came out.
You have no idea how long it took to upload these. Please pray for my Internet bill.

Which C&C location is this? The only one I ever go to is the World of Speed one. Haven’t been in over a year, though. Something tells me my beige Suburban would be a less than thrilling sight.

Yep, World of Speed. Didn’t go into the museum, though. Race cars are much less interesting than normal cars.

I never have been into the museum except to sit at the tables/buy coffee to be warm and dry for a moment. Why I moved to this cold, damp place is a mystery... (not really, wife talked me into it)

There’s a good chance I’ll be moving there in the fall, but I’m from Ireland so I’m good with the dampness. The cold is nothing next to Montana most winters so I’m pretty used to it.

That’s how I convince myself to stay. “At least the winters aren’t as miserable as where I grew up in Minnesota” I tell myself. Too bad I had nearly 10 years of Florida prior to moving here. I miss vitamin D.

You should have attended the Kirkland Concours in 2009 (I think). Something like 6 of them were there, along with other impressive cars - a couple of 540Ks and other supercharged prewar cars, Tucker, Duesie, F40, etc. That was probably the best year for the show Sadly, I think the show has been discontinued due to funding issues.

I love the plug in VW, I need to do this with my fintail - eco-weenies would trigger into the fetal position.
300SL is the star of any show, kudos to the owner for taking it out in the rain. And be glad you don’t have Seattle housing prices - yet.

Just a belated thank you for this post. I had some time to kill in Portland today so I went down to World of Speed. The museum is pretty neat but the volunteers are seriously the best. Nicest folks ever.
