I took this in Madrid months ago specifically to post on Oppo, but I forgot.

I think that is the Spanish definition of parking. Last time I was in Spain I noticed that almost no cars were undamaged. Even most new-ish cars already had parking dents.

The bollard fit so perfectly into the dent that they’ve clearly had a lot of practice.

Spain is one of those countries that really makes you question your beliefs about fascism. Like, with Germany, it’s like “eh, Germans are going to be like that with or without fascism.” But Spain? Everything in Spain functions so well, despite the best efforts of Spaniards, and I can’t explain it in any way that doesn’t involve four decades of fascism.

I was once stuck in Cordoba for an entire day, because the city organized a marathon around the city in a circle.

My time in paris taught me that drivers in major European cities give no fucks.

Were you around when we tried to find ONE single undented body panel on Clemsie’s car?

Spoiler alert: We failed.

Haha, yeah Spain is an odd one.

The Mossos d’Esquadra police in Catalonia is extremely strict for instance, especially against drunk partying people on the Costa Brava. However, they couldn’t be bothered by a extremely drunk friend of mine that threw a pizza slice against their car, even though he barely missed the open window. We were happy they weren’t bothered though, seeing that meant not having to get a friend out of the police station. (Or not, seeing that we would have liked to not have to look after him for a night, due to his extremely changing behaviour when drunk.)
