It’s probably a loose wire or connection that’s not causing it to power up. Cheap fix.

Any chance that it’s a Samsung? My friend had a Samsung LCD that wouldn’t work and it was due to the failure of a few capacitors; a few dollars in parts and some soldering got him a working TV for free.

No, I was watching it and something went *pop* and it never turned on again.

It’s a Poloroid. It may well be fixable, but I don’t have time to deal with it and already replaced it. I was watching it, and something went *pop*. It shut off and never turned back on.

Maybe a fuse (if it has any) went?

Possibly. I already replaced the TV, and just want it off my porch.

I didn’t even know Poloroid was still around, let alone making TVs.

I currently use an old flatscreen as a buffer between my S600 and the wall.

I was surprised as well. I bought it used off a friend for cheap a few years ago. I was even more surprised to learn that it was actually made by Polaroid, and not just a relabel of someone else’s TV.

*Pop* is probably not a good sound.

Generally not. I think the magic smoke escaped some of the electronics.
