I’m having colossal buyer’s remorse right now. T-Mobile’s network is pretty much broken for now in my area. Looking at down reports, it’s been happening for a week or so. *Sigh* I’m getting only 0.1mbps download.

Thankfully I can’t fault Metro for this, so I’ll hold back judgment for now. Hopefully this won’t be a regular occurrence.

I’ll give them a few days before I beg for a refund...then go to Straight Talk like I know I should have. Who was I to think T-Mobile’s network was better than AT&T? xD

At least I’m loving the Robin!!

I live in southern Ohio but daily traveled to Columbus, one of the largest cities in this wonderful /s state and had nothing but problems when I had T-Mobile for about a month. I know coverage will vary depending on where you live but it left me with a not too kind opinion of their service area. Especially after being told countless times by their reps that I was in a perfect place to take full advantage of the service. I lived, I learned and I moved on. Hope it ends up being better for you :)

Same, except with Sprint. I switched from AT&T a month or so ago, I went from 30mbps everywhere to 2mbps in my house. Thankfully I’ve got wifi, and coverage is mostly okay, but if it was my only internet access I’d be fucked.

I’m in a major city that has several of both Metro and T-Mobile stores in the area. If this doesn’t improve by Monday I’m calling it quits. At least I’m on WiFi so I’m not pulling my hair out yet!

I’m currently shopping around for a new carrier because of Verizon’s dumb fuckery (but first I need to reflash the ROM to unlock my unlocked phone which Verizon decided should be locked). Currently debating between Project Fi, AT&T and T-Mobile.

I’m on “iWireless” out here on a T-Mobile MVNO. It’s horrible.

Oddly, back in Chicago I never had a problem.

I just switched to mintsim a few months ago. It’s a T-Mobile mnvo. It’s not amazing, but you get more than what you pay for. I just paid $239 for 5gb/month for the next year. I have coworkers who spend upwards of 200/mo I just paid that for a year. Its cheap enough that I’ve considered getting an android head unit and putting a mintsim in it.

AT&T, VZW, or GTFO.

Also, considering I manage a network with about 75 cell modems, AT&T is far better than VZW. I know VZWs marketing claims otherwise, but when VZW doesn’t work, AT&T always works. Basically, if there is service at a spot, it’ll be AT&T. I have never encountered a case where the opposite was true. The few exceptions we’ve encountered were cases where a site was in the middle of nowhere where they installed an internet connected bridge for a wireless network, then it was whichever random one they chose (we have exactly one like this that uses Sprint, most of the rest are VZW because they so aggressively market to businesses).
