Scroll down to read comments, find you are reading another post.
As usual, there are the default 4-5 comments shown with the “expand” button. Expand for more, scroll to far, you are in the next post with the same default visible posts/expand for more.
Expand comments, scroll to read later commen.... next article.

A few times now, I have expanded comments on another article and can’t figure out why the comments are so unrelated to the post I thought I was reading.
I also just noticed that we lost the comment URLs with the
first-part-of-the-comment-in-text-798466785
identifier again.
Why is Kinja getting harder to use?
That is all.

Infinite Scroll seems to have gone away on my end. Weird. Now I’m afraid to update or restart anything. I don’t want to see it again.

Agreed.
Also it seems like they are having a hard time with it. One day it’s infinite scroll the next it’s back to one post at a time. Hopefully they decide it’s to buggy to keep.

They were testing it for a while before rolling it out all over. I think it’s been released all over since then, but yeah—if you see something that goes away later or isn’t network-wide, chances are, it was a feature in testing.

Yeah, they tested it on reader run blogs to universal disdain. Then naturally they expanded it anyways.

One problem with the way GMG does A-B testing is that they don’t provide feedback mechanisms to let them know that something isn’t working - the only metrics they’re going to have are the normal SEO metrics like time spent on the page, source of the visit, that kind of thing.

You’ll have to replace the images with new ones reflecting the actual post time/date and viewer/recommendation count.
