You know the other day I was at a Mexican restaurant and realized while there are a ton of items on the menu they have like 5 basic ingredients that make every menu item. Rice, beans, tortillas, seasoning, and meat, usually beef, pork, and chicken it is incredibly simple and delicious.

That’s a very specific type of Mexican food. It’s actually more Mexican-American than Mexican. It’s hard to find real Mexican food even in Phoenix. Mexican food is very eclectic and varies greatly from region to region. Here are some dishes from my favorite Mexican restaurant in Phoenix, Bario Cafe Gran Reserva. Best Mexican food chef in Phoenix. I made dinner one night with the cook who made these dishes. He’s from Tijuana and Inasked him what the most legit Mexican restaurant in Phoenix was. He said there isn’t one.

There’s some food that I would literally kill for right now. Three weeks in Vegetarian’s Paradise (I mean, India) will do that to you. Cafeteria is vegetarian only, The only things that pass for non-veg at the hotel are chicken and eggs. Oh and fish.
Taco salad is one of those foods that I will kill for.
The flip side is that I haven’t eaten as much, so I have less of a spare tire now. Something something prepare for NHL Playoffs something something.
