4th gen Maxima with those impossible screws to the radio bracket. You have to drill them out because they’re impossible to remove. You have to press down on them, and because of the bracket, you can’t quite get it flat and level. I got four screws out of my old radio, and two out on the new one (each one has eight total).

I think Sarah Palin was the main engineer behind the center console/radio/climate control. Where do you think she got drill baby drill from?

If you can only have one car, it should be a 4-cylinder Toyota.

Wrong. It should be an 8-cylinder Chevy.

Umm I have an objection. The 4th gen maxima is perfect in every way. How dare you! :P

Owned a 3rd se (very short time), a 4th gle,  and 5th se both the 4th and 5th got full audio double dins swapped in. I don’t recall these issues but they were decently  new at the time so maybe age has just gotten to it?

hahahahahaha :p

You know, I really tried to like the car, since it is *the* four door sports car (and I actually have an I30, which even adds some luxury and prestige on top of the 4DSC coolness), and still has a reasonable community and aftermarket, but there’s just too much stupid shit that goes wrong on it, way too many problems for a 90s Japanese car.

Screws that strip too easily, frequent electrical failures (knock sensor, TPS, taillight wiring, door lock actuator, etc), rusting radiator support, this shit would NEVER happen on a Toyota!

That’s true. I have to remind myself there is a reason I sold it to my dad and bought a Toyota.
