I wonder how well this thing would hold up in a crash?

I’ve posted about it before when I saw it in traffic. Still not sure where in South Carolina that conditions are bad enough to cause a vehicle to rust this badly, but I digress.

The floods in the past couple of years could do that.

Coastal town? Badly performed body repair in the past?

Typical 2000's Dodge?

I bet it’s a transplant from the rust belt.

Speaking of SC, I LOVE how your roads sparkle!! They’re so pretty! :D

Oh, I’m in Kentucky. No sparkly roads here. This van owner has lived here a while and hasn’t gotten their vehicle re-registered.

You know, I never thought about what part of the country you may be from. Kentucky is also nice! If I lived out there I’d be a Corvette Museum regular.

Your comment reminds me, I should renew my plates and transfer the Cali plates one day.

They aren’t bad at all. There are plenty of oddball cars that you see nowhere else, because of rust, perfectly preserved. The problem is asshole dealers in the poor parts of the state buying unregisterable rust buckets up North, and selling/leasing at a premium for people with no credit and almost no job.

The sparkle is from the broken glass from wrecks the potholes cause.

They didn’t fair very well in crash tests when they were NEW.

I was about to say I wouldn’t want my family in one, but then I remembered I drive my 6 yr old around in a 60 yr old truck.

That car looks like it was on its way from Ontario to Florida, broke down in SC, and the family just said “ Fuck it, we ’ re staying. ” Serious, Dodge Caravan is THE most Ontario car I can think of. At least for road trips. Sometimes they ’ re so much more MURICA! than...murica.
