Don’t mind the lights (except maybe the glass ones in your last pic). That sink bothers the hell out of me though.

I hate sinks that aren’t recessed. It’s a stupid design and I don’t understand its popularity.

That sink bothers me. It’s like, “oh look at our fancy floating natural craggy wood and neato fixtures,” but then there’s a regular old pipe right out in the open underneath it. Sure it’s a chrome pipe but it bugs me.

The exposed pipe under the sink, tres chic. Have fun keeping that place clean. I am sure hired help handles it (no time for such plebian work, there’s a new Soulcycle just down the road).

Standard for this builder is that all exposed (visible) plumbing must be chrome. Plumber mistakingly put in white last time and I have to say it did not look good against the brown everything.

I just think the design is stupid. I’m assuming it’s a bathroom since there’s what looks like the very edge of a toilet in the left of the pic. “Floating” shelves are all well and good but my point is the exposed plumbing makes it look not floating at all.

Also, where’s the storage for the assorted cleaning products and other crap normally kept under a bathroom sink? I guess those aren’t necessary if you have a maid (or there are cabinets in some other part of the bathroom).

Basically, it seems like not-very-functional design for its own sake that doesn’t even succeed at being “design-y” because the look of the exposed plumbing clashes too much with the “natural” wood.

So when does a plebeian light fixture become a chandelier? (Or is anything that hangs from a above considered a chandelier?) I’d skip that log counter top and sink arrangement but the rest of the house is pretty cool.

I don’t hate this design, overall. But I do hate the lack of storage space and loathe those light fixtures (whatever you want to call them).

Although, I also hate the random window size thing. What idiot thought that would ever look good? It’ll never look good and it will look worse than all those super ugly/shitty wooden 1970s-80s split levels found throughout the suburbs here.

The upside is that they’ll be easy to replace in the future because they only bore a small hole for them. In the future you’ll be able to cut a bigger one in there and slap in a respectable sink.

I seen a light fixture that you would be face palming on, no SR20, but basicly one middle fixture over a desk, 3 bulb things hanging down, then 2 on either side where the cord was too long so they put a hook on either side about 3' from fixture and dangled down to make it same height at the others.
