Despite my damaged wing, I had to start moving toward getting the Vespa back on the road. You only need one hand for the Allen wrench, so I pulled the busted tail rack off with my arm in a sling.

If my wife had caught me, I would be in big trouble.

Here is the damage to my helmet.

And tragically, the hitch platform I bought to take the Vespa to Arizona arrived, but the Vespa won’t be making the trip. I can’t bear to open the box.

Oh man, I’m sorry to hear you came off the Vespa. Always satisfying to work on your own ride. Remember, you should consider replacing the helmet as the impact will have damaged the internal structure of the helmet.

Get well soon and get back out on the road when you are better.
