Forged wheel that looks like a steelie

I like these. You get the steelie look without the miserable performance of real 20+ pound steelies. 15x7 +25 at 10.5 pounds means they’re at the front of the pack, with 6ul’s, Advanti S1 Storm’s, Volk Te37's and Rpf1's. Cheaper than the Volks (slightly) and more than the cast wheels obviously. Thoughts?

I approve especially in white. Love me some white steelies.

I might buy a single wheel (in white) and see how I like it... I can sorta justify it by saying it’s less likely to get stolen if it looks like a steelie right??

10.5lbs? Damn that’s light.

That’s a good point.

I’d like to see some comparisons between an actual steelie and a forged “steelie”. How much performance are you losing on a car that sees mostly street duty? What kind of “bang for the buck”, I guess?

That said, I love the way that Miata looks!

Put some baby moon hubcaps on them.

I definitely approve. I hope they do them in tons of classic car bolt patterns too...

I’d prefer to see these in all-silver. Kinda like 60's sports car alloys, like a 60's Alfa. Would be classy.

These guys are doing what I like. Not enough creativity and selection in wheels if you are a real car eccentric.

But why would I want to pay so much money for wheels that scream “2002 Chevrolet minivan”? I’ll stick to actual alloys, thank you. I don’t want to broadcast that my car is poverty spec.

I’m not a fan of steelies, so buying forged wheels which look like steelies is a waste of money to me. The color combination on that Miata is especially heinous as the appliance white on the wheels makes the rest of the car look old and dirty.

The only choice for NBs are 6ULs

Hah, that is something where if you just told me about it I’d think, “that sounds dumb.” Seeing it though, I love them! I’m also all about sleepers (even if they’re just wheels) although my current color choices say otherwise.

I endorses these, but then I’m the crazy guy who got a set of cast wheels for a project car based on similar appearance to steelies and put on spring clips to mount the original dog dishes.

I like them, but is that price per wheel?

I largely agree with this.

I also don’t like a lot of large stock wheels so in contrast I think unassuming black steelies can actually sometimes look pretty good - especially as winter wheels.

But I certainly wouldn’t pay extra for non-steel wheels that look like crappy steelies.
