My capstone class has a case study on Tata buying JLR and the entire time everyone in the class has been saying Jagwire and damn does that grind my gears.
If you saw the animal you would call it a Jaguar, why the fuck is this any different?!?

I think people pronounce the car company and the animal the same. It’s just that the pronunciation differs from country to country and sometimes by region within a country.

Jaguar is one of those funny words that loses an entire fucking syllable if repeated in two different accents.
Unfortunately, Google seems to pander to those special few who not only say it incorrectly, but think that it’s spelled that way.
