Kinja'd!!!

The word of the day is “borky (or spelled borkey),” which is the tendency for something to temporarily be in the state of borked (which means broken or not behaving as intended). Your challenge is to use it in a post, comment, or in your real world conversations today. Have fun and hopefully my borky fuel cover will open this time when I go to fill it up...

Origin of “borked”:

1988, Americanism; after Judge Robert H. Bork, whose appointment to the Supreme Court was blocked in 1987 after an extensive media campaign by his opponents.

Actually, the word has an earlier origin from the Swedish, where it first appeared in Sex and Violence in 1975.

Because some Opponauts can’t follow the rules and keep making separate posts for “theme days,” Oppositelock is frequently borked.

My Miata is borked right now. I replaced the battery, injectors, spark plugs, plug wired, and the coil pack / ignitor / whatever you call it.. Now it’s refusing to crank when I try to start it, so I think the starter motor is borked as well. No fun with Spring coming up.
