Yep, I would buy that (for up to $45k), drive it my whole life, then they could bury me in it.

I traded my CUV for a new station wagon, so yes, obviously.

The difference is the amount of car behind the rear wheels. Also If the roof ends/begins to slip before, or at the rear axle it’s not a wagon.

I’m staring down a V60 hard. Especially since I discovered they can tow my boat.

If I thought a Golf Sportwagen would be as reliable for the next 10 years as my Tacoma, I’d get one. Ditto for most other Euro wagons. The downside is that most modern wagons have so much slope on the rear, that you lose a signification portion of cargo space that makes the wagon more useful than a standard hatch.

Those don’t have any more cargo capacity than Golfs. I laughed when I opened the hatch of a V60 Polestar.

Not really. Well not Euro ones really.

They appear to have quite a slope but what you don’t see is the boot doesn’t start till further in, first you got 3-4 inches of rear bumper then the tailgate door is usually 3-4 inches thick.

The red line is where the boot starts after all the crash protection.

Though mine isn’t an estate (the estate only differs in having more of a greenhouse behind the rear doors) you can see how deep the rear bumper is and where the bootspace starts.

They are, basically. Crossovers are intended to skirt EPA regulations more than anything else.

At the same time, SUVs are simply modern minivans. I always call them minivans now.
