My dad has 20% on his truck, and gets not much grief. My old car had 25%, I got not much grief.

20% is illegal here but only enforced in some areas. The rest of the time it’s a secondary ticket if you’re being an ass.
I’ve seen an uptick in people tinting their entire front windshields. It’s very illegal and unsafe. I hope they start cracking down on it. Saw a totally blacked out (headlights, tail lights, bright work) black Malibu? With what looked like either 20% or limo on all windows including front windshield. I’m sure it’s fine on a bright sunny day but I can’t imagine seeing out of it at night or being seen and not get into an accident

There are times it can get a bit sketchy, but not too bad. I’m over the 20% though, personally, I’ll go 35 with the S8 once I get the funds readied. I forgot how shitty the heat from the sun is driving north/south on the interstate. I haven’t had a car without tint this long ever. Normally that’s my second stop, after the SOS for plates.

Yeah, the dark stuff does increase the level of hassle. I got stopped in my S4 because of that, but just got a warning. It’s good to be a semi-responsible adult. I know my 20-something self would’ve gotten a fix it ticket. 35% is plenty dark for me, but it is nice to have all the windows matching.

Well, by that logic, remove all tint from all windows and you’ll be matching.
If you continue down your rabbit hole, you will eventually realize your front windshield won’t match the rest of the windows.

The top strip is legal here. I think 4 or 5 inches. Anything lower is illegal.

O hell no, one of my friends brother did like %10 or %5 and you couldn’t see out of the windows in the daytime. He is kind of an idiot thou so It makes since for him to do it.
